SEES

The Solar Energy- Energy Storage (SEES) initiative at WUSTL seeks to grow into a global knowledge-centric consortium that educates, enables and promotes vertically integrated solar energy and energy storage (SEES) science and technology across organizations.  Allowing for easier communication and collaboration among members, SEES works to advance the level research dedicated to solar energy and energy storage projects.

Main Goals of SEES Initiative are:

• Advance solar energy conversion technologies by promoting development of new materials, devices and system level scales‐ups.
• Enable research in cost‐effective battery energy storage technologies.
• Integrate and commercialize solar energy and energy storage (sees) technologies for accelerated deployment by utilizing a transdisciplinary approach to develop renewable energy systems at a global scale.
• Educate the next generation of energy and environmental scientists, technocrats and leaders.
